- New York Times photographers Raymond McCrea Jones and Jon Huang photographed 99 finishers of the New York City Marathon.

- The High Museum has named Brett Abbott as its new photography curator, replacing Julian Cox. Like Cox, Abbott comes from the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

- Tod Brody, the photographer who licensed the controversial photo used on the cover of Vampire Weekend’s Contra album, has been served, via email, to appear in court, since he wasn’t able to be located.
