The worlds biggest everything-involving-cameras festival wrapped up this weekend in Germany and now GWCs everywhere are taking out second mortgages to fund their shutterbug dreams. For a good brief on the whole shebang, check out PDN or CNet.
There was some showboating, pixel-pushing and of course, video bragging. Our favorite was the Ferarri Hasselblad (below). Hassy is also claiming to unleash a 200 megapixel extended multi-shot device that will be available in 2011 .

There were unveilings by the big boys as well. Pentax rolled out its 40 megapixel 645D for sale in Europe and Panasonic is trying the HDSLR video route like so many others. Leica took a page from Hasselblad and made a titanium M9 designed by Volkswagen.
Finally the crowd was treated to a big screening of Chase Jarvis’ Nikon D7000-shot film. Leica did a nice little finale of Photokina for their website and features some of the aforementioned highlights plus a few good nuggets. Prost!
