- The very creative Phil Toledano has a new project where he has commissioned recreations of famous Communist paintings and inserted himself.

- Now that almost all the big photo contest deadlines have passed, it’s time for some new submissions and grants. Locally, The Blue Ridge Mountain Photographers have put out a call for entries to their National Juried Nature and Fine Art Photography Exhibit.

- And on the national level, Burn Magazine has announced their $15,000 Emerging Photographer Grant.

- As unrest grows in several Middle Eastern countries, The Big Picture has great images of the protests in Egypt.

- The LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph is this June 9-11 in Charlottesville, Virginia. It’s a pretty sweet place to see photography overtake a college town for a few days. Tickets are now on sale.

- And finally, we’re looking forward to the Twitter feed of local favorite, Ross Martin, who is spending the next nine days in Dallas at the Super Bowl. Here’s hoping he returns to Atlanta without cowboy boots.

Broncolor is here!

We’re happy to report that Morel Studio Support has a slew of brand spankin’ new Broncolor gear ready to go out. If you’ve never gotten a chance to try these lights, you’re missing out. Broncolor is renown throughout the industry for consistent color and serious performance.

Some of the pieces include the Scoro 3200ws Pack, which have asymmetric control of up to three heads with 2400ws each and color temperature control. We also have 170 & 220 para umbrellas and Kobold 400 HMIs, which can be used with any Broncolor light modifier. The HMIs are also water resistant!

If you want to get the full list, check out the website for the rest of our Broncolor gear. And yes, we’ve still got an arsenal of Profoto and Dynalite heads and packs as well.
